Organic certification is much more than a technical process of verification. It is a bridge that connects sustainable production with consumer confidence, traditional knowledge with modern markets, and environmental stewardship with economic prosperity.
As the Chhattisgarh Certification Society India for Forestry & Agriculture (CGCERT) continues its journey, we remain committed to making organic certification a catalyst for inclusive growth. Our objective is not only to certify farms and products but also to create sustainable value chains that empower farmers, strengthen women-led enterprises and enhance the livelihoods of tribal communities across the State.
This coffee table book presents glimpses of that journey. From diversified organic farms and successful farmer entrepreneurs to honey processing units managed by women self-help groups, from scientific certification systems to future initiatives in Bastar, every page reflects the dedication of individuals and institutions working towards a common vision. It is a story of trust, quality and transformation.
CGCERT has established itself as a professionally managed certification body. Our continued emphasis on transparency, technical excellence and adherence to globally accepted standards has enabled producers from Chhattisgarh and other parts of the country to access markets with confidence.
Looking ahead, we envision a future where thousands more farmers embrace certified organic agriculture, where traditional farming knowledge is strengthened through scientific certification, and where Chhattisgarh emerges as a leading destination for high-quality organic produce. Through partnerships with government agencies, farmer producer organisations, self-help groups and development institutions, CGCERT will continue to promote sustainable agriculture that benefits both people and nature.
Together, let us continue to build an organic, sustainable and prosperous Chhattisgarh.
Though centred in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, CGCERT has wide scope in its jurisdictional area with regard to organic certification. Currently it is actively engaged in organic certification of MFP products, cotton, paddy, millets, soyabean, maize, psyllium seed, etc spread across Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rajasthan.
