CGCERT is currently working in close tandem with Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM)- Bihan under State Panchayat Department as well as with APEDA to include more than 10,000 local farmers currently registered under PGS scheme into NPOP fold. All farmers are from Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, which was once under tight grip of naxalism that greatly hampered its development progress.

However now, with proactive efforts from Government of India and Chhattisgarh Government, extremism has come to an end in this region and now echoes of development have begun to be heard here. CGCERT is committed to be an active partner in boosting income and wealth of locals especially tribals and women here. And by hand-holding and by being a facilitator, CGCERT aims to bring the benefits of organic certification at the door steps of local farmers especially Chhattisgarhi tribals.
